Migrated Drivers First Provisional into the new external UI — decommissioning legacy paths and unlocking serious cost savings for the client.
Problem
DFP still leaned on legacy surfaces that were expensive to run and hard to change. Moving to the new external UI meant cutting over carefully — users and licences don’t forgive a messy migration.
System
Worked the migration across Rails UI and TypeScript endpoints: map behaviour, move traffic, retire what no longer earned its keep. Translated legacy functionality into language BAs and stakeholders could trust, and kept releases flowing via Argo / Kargo while the cutover progressed.
Outcome
Legacy codepaths decommissioned, operational cost down, and a simpler estate for the teams that follow. Delivery stayed calm because scope, testing, and rollout were owned — not hoped for.
